The Warrior- Lucium

Lucium is a warrior from an ancient people called the Auren. The Auren do not delineate between the living and the dead, the natural world and themselves and joy from suffering, the gods and their ancestors. Every state is a phase of a journey, a seeking to find the true path, the Way.

I am not one to ask forgiveness for the truth when it must be spoken, but I will ask now for your pardon, as I am incapable of fully expressing the truth in my own heart, but I do believe that truth must be spoken.
Justice is a great mountain, wherefrom the seeker stands in relation, only able to ever see one side of it and any given time. It can only ever tell one side, and we must receive and mete it out in small pebbles of injustice.

This is a good start. The character I am developing was born into the Auren tribe, but is disaffected with the Way. I am going to try and avoid painting him as a malicious and egotistical character. While some of his intentions are probably self-serving, he is a sincere believer in The Forming, a new cosmopolitan movement that was developed by a group of disaffected people from a range of backgrounds

I received your message, carried to me by the spirits of the birds, and am pleased to hear from you.

I understand the difficulties in walking the way. It is a path wrought with difficulty and suffering.

To lament the justice around us is only natural for those who would guide and protect others. We see all the more clearly the suffering caused by injustice.

I for my part am troubled by current state of our people. After your leaving I was appointed Patriarch of the Arbora, and have been engaged in the politics of the Masters. The work is engaging, but perhaps a bit beyond me. I would tell you more when you return.

I have forwarded your message on to our cousin, Lam. We have been writing some since he left and I am greatly impressed by the way he expresses his ideas. He has learned the language of the philosopher and the shogun and bound them to the search for truth, as is appropriate for one of our tribe.

yours, cousin,
